About the Role
We are seeking a talented and analytical Data and Algorithm Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design and implement efficient algorithms and data processing systems to support advanced analytics, machine learning, and decision-making processes. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable solutions that turn complex data into actionable insights.
Main Responsibilities
  • Engage with customers and PS teams in order to understand their business needs and requirements to properly define software specifications
  • Search and study for possible solutions
  • Create algorithms and models in order to solve problems
  • Prototype the candidate algorithm and validate it via simulations
  • Partner with customers and PS teams to validate solutions with real data
  • Implement the selected solution into the ToolsGroup products
  • Conduct Code Review
  • Support Quality Assurance for testing phase
  • Support Technical Writers for technical manuals writing
  • Bug fixing and customer support when required
  • Actively seek out difficult impediments to our efficiency as a team (“technical debt”), propose and implement solutions that will enable the entire team to iterate faster
Requirements
  • Great analytical and problem solving skills, high organizational skills and ability to prioritize and adapt to changes of tasks, teamwork attitude, accountability and good communication skills
  • 1-3 years of working experience in a similar position
  • Master’s degree in Math, Computer Science or Engineering, knowledge of Supply Chain Management will be an advantage.
  • Professional experience using .NET framework for data processing, specifically C# and Python 
  • Demonstrably deep understanding of SQL and analytical data warehouses
  • Experience with performance and optimization problems and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems is highly appreciated
  • Experienced with Control Version Systems (e.g. GitHub), 
  • Familiar with Continuous Integration systems (e.g., GitHub Actions) and Cloud based systems (e.g. Azure, AWS) is highly appreciate
Additional requirements:
  • Comfortable working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process
  • Fluent level of Italian and English (C1) is a must.
  • Ability to work in remote team environments
